Aktion eSeries - Timeless attendance and access system

At the City Conference Center in Prague on 23 September 2015, a conference was held for security and identification technology suppliers. In total, more than 200 participants came mostly from the professional public. There was an official introduction of Aktion eSeries products and applications from the leading Czech manufacturer of identification systems of EFG CZ Co. Ltd. , which operates mainly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Visitors were introduced to the new revolutionary range of Action eSeries attendance and access system products and the new Aktion.CLOUD solution. A new generation of access control sensors was introduced which did not require control of the entrance door, turnstile or barrier control unit. The flagship of EFG CZ Co. Ltd. became the "smart sensor" eSmart Reader, which combines the benefits of the access sensor with the attendance terminal. The perfect modern design with a reader recognising fingerprint or ID cards will delight you! The sensor can read the Mifare/Desfie 13.56 MHz media. A card, a keychain or the current standard NFC media can be used as a medium. The huge advantage is that you do not need a special card to get into the building, but you just need a credit or city card that you always carry with you. For simpler systems, the scanner is available in a version without a display under the name eReader. The novelty of the Aktion eSeries series is an eRelay device that ensures safer communication via the eData between the sensor and the electric lock, eRelay is installed in the door frame to guarantee total security against misuse.

The device features an entirely new unique ACTIVE DEVICE technology. Thanks to this, all of the control processes have been shifted to the Aktion.CLOUD, a cloud server that commanded the control modules in the past. The original cloud solution, Aktion.NEXT CLOUD, replaces the new Aktion.CLOUD solution, in addition to the required software, the cloud storage system management mechanism is also stored. This unique solution delivers major benefits, especially fewer worries for both users and installers. Installation, setup and operation of the system are really simple and fast thanks to the new line. Sensors controlling the device work flawlessly even without the control unit. The system is not limited by time delays in communication, by the number of users or connected devices. The data is stored on the central server and you can easily connect each sensor to it via the data network or the internet. You can use the Action.CLOUD server or the eBox communication control server for local network solutions to control the sensors.

The ambition of the revolutionary Aktion eSeries is not only in cloud applications but also in customized business solutions and expansion of existing systems. For these cases, a new eBox communication server was introduced, which serves as an interface - a communication server for controlling network sensors and for connection to the Aktion database. Simplified solution - the communication part that covers the Aktion cloud solution. The CLOUD server is transferred to eBox, which is significantly more powerful than older control units and can control up to several connected sensors. The last introduced device was the eXpander integration unit, which opens up other uses because it serves as a control relay to the access system (controls SEC, cameras, sirens, gates, barriers, etc.). Cloud applications are one of the most up-to-date trends in this period, EFG CZ Co. Ltd. thus gaining a significant lead over competition and shifting the Action access and tracking system to a whole new dimension. Moving the system from the server to the cloud does not require challenging configuration, server installation, regular maintenance, and system updates. Not only plug-in but also cloud-based deployment is very simple and it does not matter whether we want to install it in one place or at several sites not connected to each other - new devices just connect to the Internet, automatically connect to the cloud server, register and then just go through any an online web browser just specify access or time parameters.

Cloud should not be feared

Data security in the cloud is a top priority, so EFG CZ has bet on Microsoft Azure, the only cloud platform in the Czech Republic that has been certified by the European Union regulatory authorities as complying with high European standards for data protection and privacy. Data transfer from individual terminals and controllers to Microsoft Azure servers is secured with 256bit AES encrypted protocol Aktion. Client access is secured by HTTPS. It offers much higher security than many of the small and medium-sized businesses would achieve within their capabilities if they had a system installed on their own network.

Collaboration with Microsoft

Dalibor Kačmáňř from Microsoft, Cloud and Enterprise Solutions, was also presented at the conference, as Microsoft was looking to resolve the eSeries product line and will now work closely with EFG CZ Co. Ltd. and gradually help to enter other international markets. Now the Aktion system is operated in countries such as Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and Romania. Aktion.CLOUD is not just an MS Azure platform, but also a business collaboration with Microsoft and strengthening the importance of cloud applications in attendance and access. In the near future, the company will continue to develop customized solutions that are still highly desirable on market and require individual customer access. The products are designed for a variety of uses in all branches of industry, government, education, healthcare, etc., with their simplicity, processing and purity of design.
