Implementation of the attendance system in the UNIPETROL Group

You are here:
In the modern work environment, it is important to have a reliable identification system that ensures error-free and fast recording of employee and visitor attendance. The implementation of the attendance system in the UNIPETROL Group - a new version of the attendance and access system AKTION.NEXT - will improve the control of entries and enable the extension of functionality to include the recording of working hours for the current approximately 4,200 people. The project brings state-of-the-art technology for the management of people movement and integration with the existing SAP platform.

Current situation

Unipetrol was looking for a solution that would allow them to effectively manage the growing number of employees and visitors while at the same time improve data synchronisation between the attendance system and other company agendas.

They decided to implement a new version of the AKTION NEXT system, which brings modern identification technology with DESfire identifiers at 13.56 MHz.

As part of this upgrade, we switched to hardware components from the eSeriesthat significantly expand the capabilities of the system.

Aktion.NEXT offers several key improvements:

Increasing system capacity

AKTION.NEXT will be able to manage up to 4,200 people and will be able to cover the future growth of the company.

Modern access control

The attendance system integrates state-of-the-art readers and turnstiles, including four two-way rotary turnstiles, one sliding door and two cage turnstiles. Automatic entry and exit barriers are used for vehicle entry, while cyclists use a special access unit.

Comprehensive records of working time

The AKTION.NEXT system now includes full support for recording interruptions in working time, such as business trips or doctor's appointments. Approximately 150 users work with the system, including supervisors who take attendance, accountants and reception staff.

Integration with SAP

The attendance system will export data to the SAP payroll system once a month. At the same time, the synchronization of employee, organizational structure, vacation and home office data will be automated. Data from the attendance system is also used for daily agendas such as reporting.

Extension of functionality

AKTION.NEXT will not only allow ordering and dispensing of food, but also supports reading of license plates when cars enter.

"The introduction of the Aktion time and attendance system represents a major step for Unipetrol to modernise and streamline its internal processes. The deployment of AKTION.NEXT will increase the capacity to manage employees and visitors and improve automation and integration with SAP. With the implementation of modern technologies such as DESfire and eSeries hardware, Unipetrol will gain a powerful tool for access and time management that will not only enable further development of the company, but will also significantly save time and increase the efficiency of the HR department."
